The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) is reminding eligible small businesses and private nonprofit (PNP) organizations in Nebraska of the Dec. 9 deadline to apply for low interest federal disaster loans to offset economic losses caused by the drought beginning April 1.

Moore County is amongst several counties that can take advantage of low interest disaster loans in connection with a severe drought that left the area parched and crops and livestock in peril late last year and during the early portion of 2025.
